A SCHOOLGIRL from Deal who won a national modelling competition has had her first experience of professional modelling in London.
Florence Colgate, 18, a pupil at Dover Grammar School for Girls, won ITV's Lorraine: Naked competition earlier this month.
As a prize, she got an all-expenses trip to a modelling shoot in London and will become the face of Superdrug. She made her trip to the capital last Thursday.
Florence beat 8,045 other entrants in the under-40s section of the competition, which set out to find "the UK's most naturally beautiful people".
An TV crew followed Florence on her day in London, and the footage will be aired on ITV show Daybreak later this year.
Florence said: "It was a fantastic experience and I really enjoyed it.
"I had a lot of people making a fuss over me, which was a new experience but it felt great.
"I took my mum up to London with me and we had a great time.
"All my friends and family were ecstatic when they found out I had won."
Florence, who works part-time in the Middle Street Fish Bar in Deal, said she is concentrating on her studies for the moment but won't rule out a career in modelling.
She added: "Who knows what will happen? I have had offers to study business management at university and I would like to do that, but if an offer came up with a contract then I would have to seriously think about it.
"I really enjoyed myself in London and I can see myself doing more of it in the future."
The details of Florence's modelling project are being kept secret but she revealed that her face will be plastered across the country from May.
